For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. Basically, you have to write a 50,000 word novel within the month of November. Since November comes after October (hey, my first grade teacher actually taught me something!), this means that you have almost an entire month to plan! But, BUT, BUT, don't start writing anything yet. The basic rule is that you start with the beginning of November and end with 50,000 words or over at the end of it. So get your creative minds burning and start outlining!

The best part is that you don't have to actually have novel-writing experience to do it. So even if you think you suck (hehe, and even if you do), the point is to just keep going. I haven't done it before, but my close friend has and she said it worked wonders for her writing, simply because it encouraged her to overcome things like writer's block and obsessive internal editing. Do it, fellow blogging friends. Don't let anything discourage you. Tell everyone that you can write a novel!

Just because I feel like this short post is lacking in pictures, I'm going to ask your opinion: what do you think of the artist Monet? I know, maybe you don't think anything of him. Maybe you even hate art. But I think he's wonderful. He's my favorite artist because his use of color and style is amazing.

Look at that! Haha, I'm talking about fine art. Bring on the unfollowers! My blog is so lame lately. My excessive use of the word "lame" is lame lately. My ceaseless babbling is lame lately.

  1. I like Monet! And Nanowrimo sounds cool. I may even participate though I live in the Netherlands.

  2. Sabrina: Do it! They have multiple languages for it, including Dutch. That is, if you'd want to do it in Dutch :)

  3. There's nothing wrong with fine art. Those two are nice pieces, usually I don't care who painted it, if I like it I like it.

I did NaNoWriMo last year and completed it. Even if the story isn't great at least you now have something to go back and work on. It's tough. Find out how many words a day you need and work on that daily goal, it's easier than thinking about 50,000. I have the beginnings of an idea I might be able to work up to an outline. I can't remember how to do it but if you can, you could add me as a writing buddy. My user name is JaysonW.

  4. You should totally go for it, I doubt that I could do it lol!

As for those paintings, they're lovely! I'm with Jay, I don't care whose painted it as long as I like it :)

  5. I can't write Stories and I suck at Poetry.

May be I'll take part when someday someone started a National Poetry Writing Month. and then I will at least get the last place in it @_@ or may be the 1000000000000000000000000000000000000th Place.

But Until I have a lot Of Mangoes To eat - I will survive.

Good Luck With NANOWRIMO. I hope you win(or something like that - or something near that - Or atleast get Strawberries and MAngoes. as a Prize) :D

  6. Take part people! I am being a nanowrimo rebel (and leading a group of other rebels) and writing about our health and stuff. 50, 000 is a lot but I break it down and attempt to write 2k a day and 3k on weekends.

  7. I loooooove Monet! He's hands down my favorite artist. I even did my end of year research project on impressionism last year. I had a great time with it.

I would love to participate in nanawrimo, however, I'm already swamped with writing papers for class. :/ maybe I can postpone my personal novel writing month to this summer when I have a tiny bit of free time.

Your comments are like cake to me. I can never get enough.
