Midnight in ten minutes. Time to turn on turbo blogging mode.
Today, I did a bunch of fun things. I went to the mall with my sister, we ate out and (even though I hate shopping), I had fun, though that was probably because we were in the bookstore for two hours.
I can't even explain how relieved I am that I'm not working tomorrow morning. First Saturday of this year I'm not working. Anyways.
Finally getting some relaxation today and enjoying myself has taught me a few things.
I love people. I know I'm always saying "I hate people. People are so stupid," but I honestly love going places and seeing all these interesting people who have families and friends they adore and things they love to do and places they love to go. I love sitting in a chair in a bookstore and watching all the different people, wondering what they're going to buy and what kind of things they love to read.
Even though it's sometimes overwhelming, I love to think about my future. I love to wonder where I'll be in 5 years after I (hopefully) finish college. Maybe I'll be in graduate school, or maybe I'll fulfill my goal of going to a city of my dreams. Maybe I'll be out of the country in London, maybe I'll be in San Francisco, or maybe I'll be in New York City. I love the idea of me working in a job I love, excited to finally get started in a new career.
I love to watch planes flying in the night sky, feeling both excited and jealous of their journeys. Where are they going? What will they be doing? Are they going to see their loved ones? Are they going to travel the world? Will their trip change their life, like my trip to Europe changed mine?
I love figuring out my camera and starting to take pictures with it. I love holding something, knowing that it's entirely mine because I worked hard to earn it. I love knowing that I can finally do something I've been dreaming about for years.
I love imagining that one day (hopefully) I'll find someone as amazing as Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars) that will trade books and listen to music with me and will always travel with me and will be the most fun person in the world to talk to. I love imagining that he'll be able to keep up with me and my constant obsessions and rash decisions and need to see everything and do everything, because I can't ever deny the adventure of life.
I love that even though life is difficult sometimes, it's completely possible to find the courage to love everything and remember the joys and excitements of life.
And, I love James Franco.

When grammar nazis attack: Faacebookk girlsss makeee mee soo maddd.
I caan'tt standd when littleee girls on facebookk type likee thisssss. It literallyy makess me wantt to kick them in the faceee.
(I am aware I failed at that reenactment. I have no experience typing like that.)
I have some freshman and sophomore girls as friends on Facebook. Watching them type their statuses and comments to people stirs a silent rage inside me.
Exhibit A-this is a sophomore girl who goes to my church but also is in my school. Here are several of her status updates:
Your typing? Naaa, not cool at all.
Another example:
Okay, people. This is a basic English rule of survival: you must learn the difference between their, there, and they're. Didn't this become common knowledge like, before the origin of man? And then there is the fact that she even included this as a status. Girls around Exhibit A's age think that a greater number of status likes is strongly correlated with a person's popularity. For this reason, they post seemingly inspirational life quotes that really have the profundity of a nursery school rhyme and applaud themselves when similar people like these statuses. This particular status received 27 likes, which reaffirms my claim.
This, I am positive, will annoy even the most serene of bloggers:
This is not a joke. Exhibit A really wrote this. "Sunday"? I cannot even begin to explain my horror. What about the usage of commas? And why did you use "eating" twice? "Definalty"? I haven't even covered exaggeration yet. This girl obviously adores exaggeration. It might help to know that the girl is the size of a twig, and always makes sure she weighs nothing more. Of course, this is an obvious cry for attention to the divine speed of her metabolism.
I can't decipher if she does this for attention or if she really is that...er, unintelligent. Intentional or not, this is a new level of ditziness. My belief in the general stupidity of mankind is, again, confirmed.
That rant has been building for months.

Hey, kids. Let's talk about RELATIONSHIPS.
Today, we discussed relationships in Health class. In this class, I have a friend who used to be my best friend in elementary school. We ended up drifting through middle school because she developed an obsession with always having a boyfriend, which she considered more important than actual friends.
At the time, I thought it was just a phase she was going through. This year, talking to her again, I realized it isn't. The girl has had 15 boyfriends (yes, she told me), and she isn't even 18 yet! And the worst part is the fact that they always end up being awful. All of the boyfriends she's had in high school (about 2/3 of the 15) she's met on Facebook. She meets random guys throughout the city, talks to them for a week or so, and before you know it, her Facebook relationship status is "In a Relationship".
That's her business, of course. Until she involves me and all of her other friends in it. All this girl does is whine. One day we were working in a group, and she asked her other friend "why does my life suck?" The girl answered "because you make it that way". This girl lost all her friends, lost any self-respect she had for herself, and any happiness, because of her obsession with having a boyfriend. All her Facebook statuses are "fuck my life" and "I'm so tired of all this bullshit".
What the hell were you thinking then, when you decided to go out with a 21 year old who isn't in college, has no job, and spends all of his free time going to concerts with his friends? This girl whines that he never calls, blows her off to hang out with his friends, and barely communicates with her. Yet she refuses to break up with him because she doesn't want to be alone.
And then you complain about hating your life and being insecure? You don't understand why you can't be in a good relationship, because trust and love doesn't exist? Start with your choice of men.
I can't understand those kinds of people. Good things come to those who wait. Sure, I'd love to be in a relationship, but I choose not to be in something that will end up like what I discussed above. Relationships are not to fill a void of insecurity. I've never even been in one, and I know that. Is aiming reasonably high completely futile?
I'm aiming high;"I'm going to marry Mark Foster" high. You'll see.

A note to people (girls specifically)..
Why are people so stupid?
Why is this world flooded with idiots?
Ah, shall I justify?
Girls on Facebook really piss me off. Seriously, I don't understand why you think making yourself look like a slut is flattering? Are you okay with the fact that people think you're a prostitute? Is there no such thing as class? No, posting that picture of yourself posing like a Victoria's Secret model with your bird lips kissy face does not make you look like you should flaunt lingerie. You look like a horny ostrich.
Oh, and another little note: acting like an idiot is not attractive. Pretending that you have the intelligence of a rat will not make guys fall in love with you. And the ones who say they do will only end up breaking your heart. Don't start useless drama and don't pretend like you have no idea what anyone is ever talking about.
Just a little observation. I'm off to finish watching Inception! :D

Ridikulous
You know what I think is ridiculous? The lack of good female singers in the music industry.
Nope, I'm not talking about Kesha (I can't think of anyone worse to be honest). I'm talking about real, good music, with talented singers and musicians.
I mean, when I think about all the music on my iPod, there are so few female artists on there. There are some great ones, like Florence Welch, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Zooey Deschanel, Ellie Goulding, even Lady Gaga (I'm not a huge Gaga fan, but she did have some great stuff before this album).
What about rock music though? I mean, how many people take girls groups seriously?! Compare the ratio of a famous good guys rock band to a good girls rock band: probably like 400 to 1. Even like being a band member in a rock group is pretty rare, with some exceptions like Meg White from The White Stripes, Debbie Harry from Blondie, etc.
I'm going to start a rock group and blow you all away with my skills. Not. I can't even play the guitar :P
OH, and listen to this song. It's great.
Oh, and you know what else is ridiculous? The fact that I have summer chemistry homework. Ten months of homework wasn't enough? You decide to take away my only two months of freedom?! I mean, just because I don't have a life during the school year, doesn't mean I should be expected to do homework over the summer.
Oh, and today's Casey Anthony verdict. That was especially ridiculous. But I won't go into that.

Girls Gone Wrong.
So I basically posted a really long blog post about how much I love a certain musician, but Blogger obviously disapproved, because they decided to screw up my template for some reason right after I posted it. I then deleted it, thinking I had copied the text, but apparently I didn't, so it's all lost and I'm left extremely annoyed. So I decided to give up on it, because I don't want to get annoyed by typing it all over again, knowing it will never be as great as the original. Maybe I'll post it another day.
Anyways, one thing I've been noticing on Facebook is the abundance of partially unclothed profile pictures posted by girls (I know, NO WAY :O). By "partially unclothed," I mean the girls who think it's okay to show so much cleavage not even girls could look away. It shows such a complete lack of class and it's disgusting. Seriously, who are you trying to impress? Oh, guys, I know, but what kind of guys? The creepy 26 year old guys that still live at home and go out at night drinking cheap beer and hang with 18 year olds. Oh, and post "damn, your hot" on the picture where your shirt is conveniently cut in a low U. And then you sit there smiling, all pleased with yourself because you've gotten 25 likes and 15 comments from these kinds of guys.
I know one sophomore who I'm friends with on Facebook who apparently really likes alot of my friends, because she's been trying to get closer with them (don't ask me why, we're an odd bunch). But when my friends and I look through her Facebook profile pictures, this is our reaction:

What do models have to do with perfume?
I've been watching TV for about 15 minutes. In this short time, I've already seen 3 designer perfume commercials-you know, the ones with the dramatic music and film effects, the stunning model with the pouty lips/ perfect figure, riding around with Prince Charming on a horse (literally). I don't understand though-are those models really necessary? Could Armani and Ralph Lauren be trying to say that if we buy their perfumes, we'll look like those models? I'll bet with the first spray I automatically morph into an exotic 22 year old woman 4 inches taller and 30 pounds lighter than me. Or better yet, maybe I'll experience the glamourous life as the dramatic music plays while I gallop gracefully across the beach!
Wow, all this for the magical price of $80?! Oh, dear Ralph, you're too kind.
